Croton’s Historic Women

Thirty posters honoring accomplished historic women of Croton-on-Hudson will be displayed in local businesses throughout the Village during March in celebration of Women’s History Month. The posters were prepared by Our World’s Creative Women, a program of Croton Council on the Arts.

Families are invited to take part in a fun scavenger hunt created by Girl Scout Troop 2267. Forms will be distributed through Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School and can be downloaded here.

Visit participating businesses, learn about each featured Croton woman, and answer a simple question. Return completed forms to CET by March 31 to be entered into a raffle for prizes. (You don’t have to find all thirty to enter.)

Explore local history, support our businesses, and celebrate the remarkable women who shaped our community!
